St. Francis' 800 year Jubilee Celebration and Exhibition

For the first time on U.S. soil, the relics of St. Francis of Assisi will be on public display for six full weeks — free, and open to everyone — in the sanctuary of the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption, San Francisco.

This isn't an exhibit that comes around often. It's not one that comes around ever, really — not in 800 years. And you're invited, along with everyone else, to witness it.

Opening Night Gala — October 14th, 2026

Before the exhibition opens to the public, join the Knights of Saint Francis of Assisi and the Archdiocese of San Francisco for an unforgettable evening honoring the life, legacy, and enduring spirit of Saint Francis.

Here's how the evening unfolds:

6:00 PM
Doors open. Explore the St. Francis Relics Exhibition before enjoying the evening celebration. Complimentary valet parking is included.

6:30 PM

U.S. Premiere of Francis Lives owned by The Knights of Saint Francis, composed by Msgr. Marco Frisina, will be performed by the award-winning tenor, Luciano the Monarch.

7:00 PM
Joe Mantegna will introduce Maria Fassio Pignati, to sing both Italian and Americas National Anthems followed by chef-curated culinary stations, premium wine, beer, signature cocktails, and live entertainment begin in Cathedral Plaza.

8:15 PM
Special live performance by Grammy-nominated Italian artist Teo Bok.

​

Dessert Reception
Dessert stations and continued celebration throughout the evening.

​

We can only welcome 300 guests to this opening celebration, so once tickets are gone, they're gone.

The Exhibition — October 16 through November 28
Following the Gala, the relics remain on display in the Cathedral sanctuary for six weeks, free and open to the public. No ticket is required to visit.
